Koay Jetty
The Baiqi Koay is a Muslim community originated from Quanzhou, Fujian (China). The clansmen’s main activity is making and trading charcoal back then. Koay Jetty was a village on the water built back in the 1960′s.
Today, Koay Jetty is a name in the history. Are you aware that a portion of the Jelutong Expressway (near to Weld Quay) is where the Koay Jetty was. We have paid the price of sacrificing the home of 40 over types of migratory birds and sea creatures in the name of ‘DEVELOPMENT’.
